Sabbath Day Feb 4, 2012 at Jude Cowell Art

Today is Sabbath, the Seventh Day of the week in spite of what any hierarchical church leaders allege. And for some reason I feel like posting a bit of artwork here in a minute. Not sure which image to use so I'll mosey and search for something for you...

Ha! Since it's rainy & cloudy in Northeast Georgia at the moment, perhaps something with a first raindrop falling down...?

A Fairy's Secret Valley...click for a gallery of Children's, Botanical, Moon, and Cosmic Art images and I hope you'll share any one you enjoy with my compliments!

January 2011: still blogging about America

~
Happy Belated New Year 2011 to you and yours!

Today I've been blogging at my Political Astrology blog Stars Over Washington with little chance to consider topics other than the Jan 8, 2011 tragedy in Tucson, AZ against Rep. Gabrielle Giffords and others, the Moment of Silence held at 11:00 am est this morning in Washington DC, and the Right vs Left rhetoric about violence in the US which is being used now as yet another tactic to keep the American people divided and conquered on these issues...which is meant to keep those in power - in power.

So if you dare, you may wish to read today's post on such events which includes an image of the horoscope of Congress' secret session of March 13, 2008 when members discussed what they'd do for their own security when the people revolted (as noted at the time by Rep. Ron Paul) against congressional sorriness.

This secret session preceded Financial Collapse 2008 by weeks, as you see by its date, and I believe it has implications for the issues being discussed about our current tragedy and subsequent security changes which are said to be in discussion in the House this very week. It's tragic that a young man's frustration and distrust of government led to violence with political 'crosshairs' and 'reload' references encouraging the mentally and emotionally unstable among us to take action.

Now on a much better topic: you may notice a new link in the Two Hours sidebar, upper right, helpfully leading you to the VitaCost website where excellent deals on vitamins, supplements, and other health-improving items may be found!

My latest blog creations? Cosmic Lilith Art, and feel free to check out my new science-y/poem-y blog, Woolly Mammoth Chronicles at your leisure....especially if Science's current project to clone a woolly mammoth concerns you, too.

Note: If you're mature and sophisticated, you might just enjoy a browse of some new 'fanciful figure studies' in the gallery @ Cosmic Persona Designs where you'll discover Boudoir Blossoms character portraits and other drawings in the Cosmo-Erotic, Chiffonery Art, and Cosmic archetypal and mythical realms, for the illustrations 'happen' whenever I think of drawing something sedate for those of an adult persuasion.

For Children's Art my portfolio includes: Fairy, Moon, Cosmic, and even Botanical Art (both flowery and fishy) and much of it resides primarily in two spots on the Web:

Secret Moon Art and

Dreamyfish Art...so perhaps I'll see you there or there, hmm?

For Spring EQ 2010: 'Rainy Day Art Cube' by Jude Cowell

Your pictures and fotos in a slideshow on MySpace, eBay, Facebook or your website!view all pictures of this slideshow

Thought you might enjoy a newly created 'Rainy Day Art Cube' of mine!

Am still in Astrology Day Blogathon 2010 mode since the carnival of informative articles authored by a variety of astrologers doesn't go Live until Friday March 19, 2010 and there are more preparations under way as I type!

Now that last was a Chiron-inspired statement, wasn't it? Be Here NOW, says He.

Why, I think the ongoing and inspirational Neptune-Chiron conjunction in Aquarius is about to have even more beneficial effects upon a harried collective...it is to be hoped! jc

view 'Mandalan Art' with a Psychedelic flavor!

~~

Imperfect Mandala, a drawing by Jude Cowell.

When Mandelbrot-inspired mandalas operate as Art images for sparking such things as meditations, eye-brain stimulations, or for simple visual enjoyment of creative images, then we know the Universe still works in harmony at least some of the time, in spite of all man can do!

Have you ever seen this dynamic collection of what I call 'Mandalan Art'?

Click for a few bright examples available there for your viewing pleasure with only a secure click, for I've this very evening discovered the Art Work @ Spirit Mythos and I recommend it to you!

My hope is to find more Mandalan Art of Psychedelic yet charming vibes and locate the links here for you or in my Secret Moon Art gallery online, if you prefer. Peruse the Art Links in the sidebar next time you drop in.

Thing is, 'Mandalan Art' is only what I'm calling it; I'm not sure if anyone else does. And the digital Artist of the Moment at Spirit Mythos undoubtedly has alternate ideas of how to describe their work, don't you think?

So when you reach the Spirit Mythos gallery, click icons to enlarge images of the colorful mandalas for they're so el perfecto for gazing upon and chillaxing your brain a while...

and tell them old Jude Cowell sent ya because I feel you'll like the interesting Art images of Spirit Mythos!

SkyWriter features Secret Moon Art - woot!

~~~
What an honor for this hidden-away unknown artist of the pencil persuasion to have her Cosmic and Moon Art featured on world class astrologer Donna Cunningham's SkyWriter blog and I want to cordially invite you to view our collaboration When Art and Astrology Combine!
And please follow the link provided within the article if you wish to view a special Art Show for Donna's excellent SkyWriter readers, for as I've brazenly asserted before, everyone should take an occasional, leisurely Art Break to soothe the savage beast within and rest the weary eyes...how better than with Visionary Art images?
Jude, your artist for the moment
ps: today I've been tweaking my Jude Cowell Art Shop at Zazzle, if you'd care for a browse before the holidays are upon us.
And have you ever seen men's ties with Dreamyfish Art images upon them? Of course not, for I've just designed and created them, along with black T-shirts, wall art posters, Greeting Cards, and 'fishy' Mousepads for your office, so do mosey over when you may and check back often for new offerings.
Oh, and have fun customizing my designs how you like if you please!
How's your supply of Health and Wellness?
It's been simply eons that I spent time on the Associated Content website where I've been known to write a little, but have not since Garfield was president (practically.) Not that Garfield. The other one.
Well, I just returned from a brief sojourn with AC and my browser carrying a link for you. It's an article by Laura Brady concerning Health and Wellness which you may find very useful.
And one of the best things about Ms. Brady's article is that it makes absolutely no mention of health care reform or the current deform we're limping along with now.
So go along and check it out, for who can ever have enough health and wellness?
And as a wise man once said, Consider the spine.
Blogger 'Followers' feature disappears
Update 10:45 am edt: Funny! As I'm checking around now (including this blog's sidebar) the Followers feature has reappeared on the blogs I've checked so far - wow, is that fast service? Or a mysterious case of synchronicity?
Original post of a few minutes ago begins here:
Have you noticed lately that Blogger's Followers feature in not displaying on blogs where they should be appearing?
Maybe it's only my few blogs but the feature continues to disappear from sidebars all over the place; I've refreshed them but it seems not to make a diff.
Wonder if this means no one can sign up to Follow?
Oh well, I'll stop fretting. Perhaps it's simply time for a little Art...?
Gemini Sun conjunct Sisyphus: June 9/10, 2009
With asteroid Sisyphus now being highlighted by the Sun 19Gem+, a Wiki link to the myth of Sisyphus has been added in the sidebar to my growing list of Mythology of Astrology's smaller bodies...scroll down just a smidge to view the links list.
Wonder if America's 'Sun' - President Obama - is feeling Sisyphusian about now what with Gitmo detainees having nowehere to go, health care reform being voraciously fought (as we knew it would be), his Supreme Court pick, Sonia Sotomayer, under the GOP's 'racist' magnifying glass, amd more obstacles to make him look ineffectual...?
And don't forget that today, June 10, is the day Japan's Kaguya craft is to impact the Moon - kerboom!...see SpaceWeather.com for details and photos (after the event - the Southern Hemisphere should gave a good view for photographers!)
Astrologically today the Moon is in hard-to-budge Capricorn so Luna may not appreciate the impact!
Children's Art: the Hero's Journey of Pattillo Armadillo
Here you see my first-ever drawing from 1995 of what turned out to be a children's book character, Pattillo Armadillo.
The image shows up a bit yellow-tinged because it's 3rd generation - a photo scanned from a drawing - and is one of my many 1995 to 2000 illustrations embossed with silver pencil.
Actually, the Spectracolor pencil used was non-tarnishing aluminum which keeps its silvery look longer. And the camera's flash gave the photos of these particular drawings a certain quality that my current simple scanned-direct-from-drawings do not possess...but smaller images fit the scanner bed, no camera required.
And it is more direct from drafting table to you, Dear Reader. Ex: so far all drawings in left sidebar except 'Purple Pansies' are direct from scanner. See the diff?
Be that as it may or may not be, Pattillo is from my children's book Pattillo Armadillo and the Dream of Green (2004/05) and if you'd like to take a stroll with me down mystical forest paths, you've moseyed to the right place today because I'm in the mood for such a bold sashay myself.
Now this could potentially and temporarily turn you into Dear Viewer, y'know, but not to fuss.
So where shall we venture first?
Let's check out a scene from somewhere inside The Great Lichen Forest with Fairy in attendance.
And if you can be very quiet, you may spy little Pattillo snoozing underneath a 'Shroom Home, for heroes need their shut-eye in case they must perform valiantly at the drop of a leaf - and mushrooms make nifty living and sleeping quarters for the wee ones amongst us.
In another part of the forest lies a glen where Minerva's Owl alights upon an old-growth tree. In his story, Pattillo was fortuitously watched over by just such an owl as this!
Now Pattillo has never visited this area of the forest but you are cordially invited to stop by Fairy Glen on your way home to dinner (and I would recommend you take the Path Home in Blue, if you don't mind a smally detour.)
Yes, Pattillo's belly is always very concerned over the where-abouts of his next grubby meal, as all armadillos tend to be. DNA takes the day!
Well, I hope your stroll has somewhat refreshed you from your labours and cares, Dear Viewer, but don't hesitate to nab other mystical views with a few Pattillo image links included at Secret Moon Art, your Art Blog for Botanical, Cosmic, Moon, and Children's Illustrations of Nature's Kind Abundance!
