A Georgia Guidestones Horoscope and the Hopi Prophecy of a New Age

Georgia: Mysticism in the 13th Colony, an Enchanted Land

by Jude Cowell

Since before the infamous Trail of Tears viciously removed Cherokee tribes and others from the region (for the sake of gold and US expansion), the area that is now Hartwell, Georgia was considered the Center of the World as were/are many other sites across the globe. A few miles hence lie what's been called by some "America's Stonehenge," the Georgia Guidestones--initiated in June 1979 by the mysterious 'R.C. Christian' and unveiled to a wary public on March 22, 1980 (horoscope, below).

Perhaps the pseudonym 'R.C. Christian' was meant to mimic the name of the alleged founder of the Rose Cross Fraternity, now known as the Rosicrucians--'Christian Rosenkreutz', as I believe it was intended to do. Certainly the radical ideas of the secret organization resonate with the 'New Age' ideas and political and social beliefs that are etched into the granite of the Guidestones and which promote a New Age of Reason. Some, if not all, of the Elberton enablers of Mr. Christian back in 1979/80 were Freemasons so draw your own conclusions there, as you wish. Certainly the men were accustomed to keeping esoteric and other secrets close to the vest.

Inspired by Enlightenment Guru Thomas Paine?

As you may know, 'Mr. Christian' published a Paine-esque book explaining his Guidestones mission and objectives and from its title, Common Sense Renewed (download available), we find a deafening shout-out to the Age of Reason (or, Age of Enlightenment) as signified by the Uranus-Neptune pair which last conjoined three times in 1993 on or near '18 Capricorn' with its disturbing Sabian Symbol of "The Union Jack" (or, "A British Warship...").

The negative/shadow expression of the word picture for '18Cap' reveals what some have envisioned peeking through the ideas engraved in various languages upon the Georgia Guidestones which promote a major depopulation of the world (among other disturbing ideas): smug or strong-armed paternalism. SUPERVISION is the keyword for '18Cap' in the Jones version (The Sabian Symbols in Astrology) while Rudhyar's An Astrological Mandala describes it as: POLITICAL POWER. Either way, corporate Global Government only befriends the power elite class so to me (a native Georgian) the Georgia Guidestones' 'commandments' are anti-societal and reveal a draconian plutocracy agenda. Such ideas are all part of a centuries-old script, my friends, and no matter who wins the current US Election for president, the country and the world are stuck with the same old globalist script, no matter what the egomaniac Mr. Trump promises in his attempt to win the Venusian Oval Office. And Hillary Clinton? She obviously is a reader of the Global Government script and sold out decades ago as did the mainstream media.

So perhaps we should also consider the Uranus-Neptune midpoint at '18Cap' with transit Pluto, planet of power, wealth, stealth, and death hitting it off and on of late: the big picture commands a certain course of action, which must be followed; very little option to do otherwise. (Tyl). Might this describe an infamous 'offer they can't refuse'?

Now for your consideration, let's close this section with an excerpt from a page posted by some folks who visited the Georgia Guidestones in Elbert County, Georgia, in 1995 (my italics) which you may find interesting concerning the Hopi Prophecy and the Enchanted Land of the Cherokees:

The Hopi Indians and their ancient shamans say "signs" will foretell the time when the fifth world, a new age, will begin. Many believe we now stand on the threshold of changing events which will bring about the end of one world period and the beginning of another. Ancient prophecies state that when stone tablets are returned to the center of the world the new age will begin. There are varied interpretations in many different cultures regarding what "the center of the world" means and where it is.

Northeast Georgia was an assembly ground for the great Cherokee Indian Nation before the white man's greed for gold brought about the Trail of Tears. Cherokee Indian trails radiated in all directions from what is now Elberton, Georgia, and the Cherokee Indians held their Councils, their dances and their worship services of the Great Spirit there. They called the area Al-yeh-li-A-lo-Hee, the Center of the World.

Wonder if "Mr. Christian" was aware of the Hopi Prophecy about a 'new age' beginning when "stone tablets" returned to the Center of the World? If so, his and his Elberton enablers were only acting a mystery play as they pretended to consider other locations for the standing stones than where they were constructed upon Mr. Mullenix's hilltop.

A Natal Chart for the Georgia Guidestones

Since the videos I've seen of the March 22, 1980 unveiling show bright sunshine near noon or thereabouts, I've set the following horoscope for that date at the coordinates of the Guidestones (34N13 82W53) for an approximate hour of 11:00 am est. As you see, the Aries Sun is a day or so past Spring Equinox 1980 (did they miss their target date?) with a Gemini Moon all morning so we know the day has a Sun Aries-Moon Gemini vibe of Fire and Air, the 'live wire' combination of energies suggesting excitement, even nervousness, before and during the proceedings. Curiously, one of this blend's Images for Integration (Charles and Suzi Harvey, Sun Sign-Moon Sign) is "Haydn's Farewell Symphony"! Thoughts of the world beyond were apparently solicited that sunny morning by these mysterious hunks of Saturnian stones. Plus, the Sun Aries-Moon Gemini combo is known for its ability to persuade though of precisely what, you'll have to decide for yourself.

Please enlarge the chart to read my scribbled notes for this text will be brief.

Chart-ruler Mercury, planet of announcements, messages, and sight (an unveiling!), is in mystical Pisces and at Midheaven, the Goal Point, though Mercury makes no major applying aspects to other planets--other than a sextile to priestly Chiron (@10Tau59 and applying to goddess planet, Venus, which rules Taurus), with Chiron as the Seeker of The Quest. 'R.C. Christian' fulfills this knightly role or at least he thought he did. Anyway, A Mercury-Chiron sextile (60 degrees) suggests messages that "open new doors or stimulating ideas having to do with the process of self-transformation. It often happens that new input is not recognized as significant until sometime after it is received." (Chiron, Richard Nolle).

The Mercury-Chiron sextile also describes the architect of the project, the exacting Mr. R.C. Christian. 'Sometime after' is then, now, and in the future which is interesting since experiential Chiron The Centaur tells us to Be Here Now and orbits as The Bridge between planets Saturn (the past) and Uranus (the future).

Prominent in the Natal Chart

Now there are two angular chart factors that seem most prominent to me: a T-Square between the Moon-Neptune opposition which squares a 4th house Saturn, planet of stones, granite, monuments (including gravestones), and realism. Endings are also suggested which supports the themes of the Pre-Natal Solar Eclipse in the 18 South Saros Series (the current series as I type on August 11, 2016); you see 'PE" in the 9th house of Philosophy with details penned, upper right.

Also see lower right for Saturn notes and the transit of 1980 Saturn to US natal Neptune, planet of such things as: dreams, visions, illusions, the media, propaganda, toxins, negative escapism, and the masses. This is the grim reality vs dream come true transit and indicates Mr. Christian pouring an idealistic vision of Neptune into Saturnian stone thus bringing his dream into reality.

Penned on the chart in green is a second chart factor of importance: the Venus-Neptune midpoint at Midheaven which we may be tempted to dismiss since the MC isn't 'set in stone' (sorry!) since '11:00 am" is only a speculative hour. Still, this midpoint did pass over the scene at 11:00 am whether the ceremony began at that hour or not, and given the Rosicrucian link to planet Venus, the goddess planet whose flower is the rose, we might expect that the midpoint between lady Venus and Neptune, planet of illusion and mysticism, hints rather loudly at goddess idolatry and may denote other esoteric, pagan leanings associated with ancient megalithic sites such as Stonehenge in the form of Druidism.

Been busy w blogs, cats, and Art - howbowchu?

~

Whew! Today I have updated my political limerick blog Lim's Limericks with Mr. A. Cat's new ditty concerning the November 2010 elections. You may notice that Lim's Limericks is proud to have two Followers - well, it says three but one is me. And if I can figure out how to repair that mistake, it will properly reflect two extremely discerning readers.

Not that I'm no fan of Mr. A. Cat, or of my roomie Lim, the famous feline chef who prepares all my fishy din dins unless and until he's in a snit of miffdom to get his way about something. Then I can starve for all Lim cares! Are all cats despots such as Lim? Most are, I think. Libby Kitty has certainly been on a tear lately: her behavior has turned quite unexpected. As I type she's snoozin' in her newest favorite location: behind the microwave. Odd, if you ask me.

Also updated today is my Political-Mundane Astrology blog Stars Over Washington with a post linking you to a list of campaign donors to our special-interest-promoting congressional candidates compliments of the excellent Mother Jones along with info on the upcoming and difficult transit of Pluto opposing US natal Sun (Sun = the leader in Mundane charts.)

As for Two Hours today, the list of Mythology of Astrology's smaller bodies has been expanded by one: the very interesting and hauntingly musical Orpheus. Simply scroll down the sidebar for the list (it's just after Astrology Faves.)

Plus, the detail/image you see above is from one of my newer drawings, Aubergine, who is actually one of the glamorous pin-up girls in a new Cosmic Lilith Art Calendar 2011 so check our her full portrait if you wish!

Two Fairies on a Moonlit Night

~

Look closely and don't blink! This drawing is very blue, isn't it? Titled Two Fairies on a Moonlit Night, it was perpetrated on behalf of a certain Sabian Symbol for '7 Cancer' = "Two Fairies on a Moonlit Night"...

ASCENDANCY:

positive expression: a transforming sensitivity or a healing imagination;

negative/unconscious/shadow side: a senseless retreat to make-believe.

Well, often using make-believe in childhood is healing, isn't it? It can help kids 'deal' with things and it's great for inspiring more pleasant dream images just before children fall asleep. But don't be envious, for I doubt that fairies are overly prejudiced against grown-ups using make-believe from time to time...

Can environment cause poetry to bloom?

~~

This evening my environment was host to news of a scientific breakthrough as I watched CBS' 60 Minutes' feature about the possibility of resurrecting extinct species and bringing them back to life.

What they'd eat and how much was not revealed, but a brief poem was inspired by hearing this Frankenstein-esque news. Astrologically, 'scientific breakthroughs' relate to Jupiter/Uranus and the two 'light bulb' planets will meet in Great Conjunction three times in 2010 into 2011:

1. June 8, 2010 @ 00Ari18 (Aries Point, a degree in the zodiac of world event manifestation);

2. Sept 19, 2010 @ 28Pis43;

3. Jan 4, 2011 @ 27Pis02

Hopefully, the knowledge-expanding hook-up of Jupiter and Uranus will bring the world something beneficial from the scientific community, for mankind could use a fortunate turn about now, right? And none of that 'space wars' crap either.

Click the link to read, if you wish, for it won't take you but a moment in Time which is something that will be totally skewed if Science succeeds in their cloning quest!

Donna Cunningham on finding accurate birth times

~~
Making sure a birth time is accurate is not always easy but master astrologer Donna Cunningham has the best advice about the issue that you'll find anywhere, so check out Donna's insights on her SkyWriter blog about this very basic astrological matter upon which all hinges!

For as you know, a person's, entity's, or event's birth time, or time of beginning, is part of the birth data astrologers consider before setting up or calculating a horoscope. Anything or anyone that has a beginning has a birth or natal chart, aka a radical or radix chart.

The hour and minute (and sometimes the second) are what produces the sign and degree rising on the horizon at that moment of beginning and thus the planets can be positioned in their proper places in the chart. Of course, date and place are the other requirements for setting up a chart and yes, some information can be gleaned without knowing an accurate time of entrance into the flux of time and space.

But that's like a photograph slightly out of focus...you need a correct time to view a precise picture of the planetary dynamics and their relationships (aspects) to one another. Years ago my own horoscope was out of focus since no birth time was recorded on my BC so I did an end-run by having my mother sign papers the hospital provided so I could get her hospital records of having me, and there it was - listed not once, but three times.

So the 12 'houses' in a chart are departments of life and knowing which house/s your Sun and Moon are in, as well as the other planets and points, is a surefire way to snag yourself a valuable horoscope that can be useful when looking at transits (where planets are now or whenever), Solar (or other planetary) Returns, and for progressing the chart to tell you an evolutionary tale of your life.

Mercury out of the Shadow~Cafe Press Shop in the wings

~~~
As you may know, Mercury is still retrograde and possibly interfering with such things as plans, new ideas, travel, commerce, contracts, and agendas.
The planet of thinking, communication, and trade, Trickster and Messenger Mercury will turn Direct on Sept 29, 2009, yet here are some good reasons to wait for implementation of new plans and ideas until Mercury leaves the Shadow degree range of its current retrogradation phase and enters new zodiacal territory, thus leaving behind its retrograde degrees.
When Mercury is Rx, it's a good time to reassess and work on plans and projects, so during Mercury's current Rx period, I have been attempting to set up a Jude Cowell Art shop at Cafe Press, but with disappointing results as far as transforming some of my Dreamyfish Art images of botanical fish drawings into 16" x 20" wall posters for your consideration.
Stewing in my non-techiness, I am finding the Cafe Press interface difficult to work with, and the site's instructions to be missing key points. So if you, dear and lone reader, have any tips on Cafe Press issues, please leave a comment here, or contact me at judecowell at gmail dot com - I'd muchly appreciate it since their forums have not helped me so far - but there's alway hope for a Eureka Moment, one of Mercury's favorite gifts to us which occurs when left and right brain creativity coincide integratively.
So I shall persevere with this art project when my schedule (also a province of Mercury) allows, and will mercurially announce the shop's official opening asap - probably, if my natal chart-ruler Mercury has a say in the matter, and it will - at or just after Mercury's leaving of the Shadow area of the zodiac @ 6Lib13...on or after Oct 14.
My reason for waiting to implement my botanical fish portraits/Cafe Press plans are noted in boldface in the above-linked article, if you are so inclined to check it out, and the chart image for October 14, 2009 @ 2:39 am edt in Washington DC (the first minute Mercury reaches Shadow degree and thus is 'free' to move forward) is included in the post in case you wish to use one of your mercurial senses, sight, to view it!
Thomas Paine on punishment and oppression
~~~

"An avidity to punish is always dangerous to liberty. It leads men to stretch, to misinterpret, and to misapply even the best of laws. He that would make his own liberty secure must guard even his enemy from oppression; for if he violates this duty he establishes a precedent that will reach to himself."

Solar Eclipse in Capricorn Jan 15, 2010

~~~
Perpetual War for Perpetual War
By Jeff Huber
The American warmongery, a confluence of Big War, Big Energy, Big Jesus, Big Israel, Big Brainwash, and Big Brother, is trying to entangle us in a state of constant armed conflict that will carry on into the next American century. There's no need for anyone to challenge our hegemony; all they have to do is sit back and watch us collapse under the weight of our own stupidity.
~:~
Now that's why I've been saying these last several years. America is the biggest bully on anybody's block. And if we don't have an enemy, we'll create one or two.
Puts me in mind of one of my favorite (no longer together) musical groups, Crowded House, when they sang, Chocolate Cake which was about American greed, overeating, and about our 'sinking like a stone.'
And stones are from the realm of Saturn, ruler of Capricorn, so perhaps you'd consider reading my just-published article-with-chart-image concerning the Solar Eclipse of Jan 15, 2010 at '26 Capricorn' - it conjuncts US natal Pluto, planet of power and wealth.
What you won't see there are the midpoint pictures I neglected to type into the post, so I'll type them for you now. They're part of a prominent YOD pattern ('Finger of God') in the chart, and as such relate to crises, major adjustments, and potentially to health issues...all involve the Solar Eclipse and Venus, which is conjunct the Eclipse.
Sun/Uranus = Mc: major events in support of big plans; hopeful triumph for the ego; an excitable or restless person with far-reaching plans; reformers, inventors, technicians; sudden events or emotional upheavals.
Moon/Uranus = Mc: great excitement and energy; ambitious aims; readiness for action; taking a hand or interfering suddenly; determination; potential gains; sudden change of plans.
Venus/Uranus = Mc: an affair breaking open to view; getting involved with someone quickly; artistic success; engagement.
Health All Over the Place - and in the Chart:
With asteroid Hygeia (health) Rx at Midheaven, the previously mentioned YOD pattern having a health connotation, and wounded healer Chiron at Ic, we may think of Health Care Reform, yet the 12 North Eclipse itself may relate more to a prominent person's health failing in some way - at least on one level.
And with Capricorn being the sign of law, business, and government, the 12N Series will be keeping the White House busy and the citizens well-disposed toward the administration, for the most part. (Sour-grapers notwithstanding, that is.)
Actually, you may wish to read the Sun Cap-Moon Cap blend info, too, and find out the names of a few famous persons with this ambitious combo in their natal charts.
Well, there are many more details to be found by clicking either or both link/s above, so I hope you do. The posts are written in reasonably good English, so you mustn't over-fret if you don't speak astrologese.
After all, I don't spend these hours studying horoscopes and blogging about them because I have nothin' else to do, ya know. But that's just how practical Capricorns roll - we have a need to be useful!
Midas: his hobbies, his friends, his location
You may notice if you scroll down far enough to my 'Mythology of Astrology's Smaller Bodies' feature in the sidebar that asteroid and mythical king Midas has been added to the list.
But where is asteroid Midas today? His is not a fast-moving asteroid as asteroids go, and he remains in a sign for years, frequently in retrograde phase which seemingly from our earthly vantage point, slows down his progress through the zodiac.
Plundering and The Gilded Age of Industrialism
Checking a chart set for the White House (out of my Political Astrology habit) for the time I thought to look (11:32 am edt), gold-lover Midas is at 8Gem37 which conjuncts the Robber Baron natal chart of 1891/92 when Neptune and Pluto met three times at that degree: 8:38, 8:19, and 7:42, on August 2, 1891, Nov 5, 1891, and Apr 20, 1892, respectively.
The Robber Baron natal chart times The Gilded Age, aka the Industrial Revolution and the Generation of Materialism. Whatever you call it, plundering of natural resources is one of their main claims to fame.
Today Midas is parallel Mars 10Gem47 (similar to a strong conjunction and used in Astrology for timing purposes) and conjunct the transiting 9th cusp 7Gem03; therefore, Midas is entering the 8th house of Credit, Debt, Insurance, Shared Resources, Big Finances, Transformations, and the Occult (meaning 'hidden') - is there action (Mars) today on financial matters (Midas) in Washington?
There is a midpoint at 7Gem41, too: Mercury/Uranus, which Ebertin gives as: 'intuition; astuteness; a revolutionary spirit; inventive thinking; "too many irons in the fire"; nervous haste; brutal frankness; a contradicting disposition; a mathematician, technician, physicist, cosmobiologist; sudden cognition; the power to influence others', and more.
"Too many irons" sounds like the president to me and NPR is reporting at noon that Mr. Obama is meeting with Chinese officials...or perhaps it's a conference call, I'm not sure. China is our biggest creditor, of course, and contains quite a pile of Midases, I venture to say.
So scroll down for the skinny on the Mythology of Midas, if you wish, compliments of Wikipedia, and provided linkily by yours truly.
Mask of the Cosmos~Art & Astrology's mask
Mask of the Cosmos is my small art attempt at a drawing meant to represent the Ascendant which is the rising sign and degree, or the WHAT? Point of any horoscope.
Everything that is has a beginning, and so the Ascendant may describe the beginning of an event, a nation, a day, or an individual and tells us how the world is seen and how the world sees the entity the chart describes. It is a major point in Astrology which, along with Sun and Moon, are primary factors to consider.
And the Ascendant degree's Sabian Symbol fills out the picture as well.
As you know, with Astrology a horoscope may be drawn for any place or time on earth. A good example of the impersonal use of this concept is a sunrise chart (aka a solar chart) which tells the flavor or quality that will unfold through the rest of the day in that locality.
On my Political Astrology blog, Stars Over Washington, I have often used this method for 'taking the temperature' of certain days on Capitol Hill or for the White House, and find this technique especially useful in mundane work when one doesn't know the exact timing of an event's occurrence but wishes to see how things will 'get on' for a particular day.
The chart-ruler (planet ruling the sign of the Ascendant) may then be checked for applying aspects, if any, and clues garnered. No applying aspects most often means, 'no action' (although aspects to other charts' planets or points may have something to say about things, if applicable.)
Seeing planets as 'actors' helps, too - Sun is 'the leader', Moon is 'the public' or 'the people', Mars represents males between the ages of 25 and appr 35, Mercury = young people; of course, Mars is also military personnel, police officers, firefighters, etc, and Mercury is anyone associated with communications such as reporters, speech-writers and speakers, etc.
Yet the planets retain all their other astrological correspondances simultaneously (Mercury for trade, commerce, agreements, Mars for quarrels and fires, etc) for Astrology describes a complex world occurring on many levels all at once - inner, outer, and in between the cracks.
With the sunrise/solar chart set for a particular location we may view what the universe in any area of the globe is impersonally offering at that time. As Above, So Below, and 'the end is in the beginning' as Astrology teaches.
And thus on a personal level, a baby is born into earth's flux at a particular place and time in his/her uniqueness as a genetic flowering of generations...unless, of course, another woman was on top of or underneath our mothers having a baby at precisely the same moment! But even twin births can't do that for one child must precede the other.
And so each one of us is a unique individual with a natal or birth chart all our own, and the rising Ascendant in our charts tells us much about the masks we wear as we accept the mission for which we are born, and immediately after birth begin to learn how to 'speak through the mask' of the Ascendant.
In addition, planetary aspects in natal charts help to 'fix' us in space while the qualities of the chart's aspects give a frame of reference that aids in understanding our unique potential - especially if we study our charts or have them explained to us.
The Ascendant shows our meaningful contact with the environment so that we may express ourselves fully in our lives (if we choose to accept our missions!) through the doorway of our Ascendant...the 'door' we entered by!
Gemini Sun conjunct Sisyphus: June 9/10, 2009
With asteroid Sisyphus now being highlighted by the Sun 19Gem+, a Wiki link to the myth of Sisyphus has been added in the sidebar to my growing list of Mythology of Astrology's smaller bodies...scroll down just a smidge to view the links list.
Wonder if America's 'Sun' - President Obama - is feeling Sisyphusian about now what with Gitmo detainees having nowehere to go, health care reform being voraciously fought (as we knew it would be), his Supreme Court pick, Sonia Sotomayer, under the GOP's 'racist' magnifying glass, amd more obstacles to make him look ineffectual...?
And don't forget that today, June 10, is the day Japan's Kaguya craft is to impact the Moon - kerboom!...see SpaceWeather.com for details and photos (after the event - the Southern Hemisphere should gave a good view for photographers!)
Astrologically today the Moon is in hard-to-budge Capricorn so Luna may not appreciate the impact!
Yes, it would be impossible to spend a full two hours on one inconsequential blog such as this, but when was the last time you heard, 'one minute you'll never get back'?
So you see my dilemma: my choices were quite limited. And when you have only one choice, you have no choice at all.
Just so you know: this blog will be a tapestry of whatever for any reason. Don't expect anything but the best of what one lone blogger can manage, Dear Reader, typos and all. You shall occasionally be addressed as Dear Reader whether such a term of affection applies to you or not.
Comments and queries are welcome if you'll stay on topic for the post you're complai...I mean, commenting on. Comment moderation shall occur; link trades are most welcome so don't stint yourself on that score.
Art, Astrology, Politics, Cultural and Social Issues, Poetry, Ecological concerns, Spiritual and Futuristic subjects including Space, Cosmic, and Astronomy topics will be presented when inspiration lights on my shoulder and doesn't get brushed off by mistake.
Out of the corner of your eye you may notice that Fairy Art appears from time to time but please don't be alarmed: they won't harm you. It's the politicians you should be worried about.
