2 Hours You May Not Miss or How about a Drawing by Jude Cowell?

Okay, you caught me. It's difficult keeping up with so many blogs so why in the world have them? For one thing, attempting to delete a seldom used blog only causes trouble for the ones that are left for they tend to link to the deleted one and this creates quite a mess. So here is a posting of one of my drawings just to spruce things up around here with content that is actually created by yours truly though perhaps you've viewed it before, here or elsewhere:

Image: Fork'd Way, a pencil drawing by Jude Cowell (c) 2016 - 2060; posted here in honor of the left vs right choice the American people face in the voting booth on November 8, 2016--as if we really have a say in who's (s)elected president. If you wish, visit Stars Over Washington for Political Astrology articles and videos on the 2016 Campaign and beyond.

Above image is on loan from Secret Moon Art but you are cordially invited to check out my new blog which premiered on Christmas Day 2015: Neptune's Silver Screen where you'll find horoscopes, bios, photos, documentaries, movies, and film clips of classic film stars with an astrological emphasis on glamour and love planets Neptune and Venus and where seductress Lilith and goddess star Sirius often sparkle. Popcorn optional!

Update August 12, 2016: ruh-roh! Now there's an even newer blog you're cordially invited to visit called Jude Cowell Astrology for what are probably obvious reasons! jc

An Artist's Portrait of Gene Tierney

Is it overly brazen of me to publish my pencil portrait of actress Gene Tierney drawn in 1982? That's thirty years ago! Oh, well. Here I go celebrating the beginning of 2012 with an antique image from 1982...because I always thought Ms. Tierney was one of the prettiest actresses around!

Gene Tierney's Wiki page states that she was "acclaimed as one of the great beauties of her day" or some such flattery. Check out the scoop on the star of the film Laura which still makes it into the Top Ten of many a movie buff's list!

Well, this may be my first post of 2012 on Two Hours, but with all that's going on in Politics, you know I'm often to be found at my primary Political Astrology blog Stars Over Washington, or alternately at Jude's Threshold, right? ;p

Been busy w blogs, cats, and Art - howbowchu?

~

Whew! Today I have updated my political limerick blog Lim's Limericks with Mr. A. Cat's new ditty concerning the November 2010 elections. You may notice that Lim's Limericks is proud to have two Followers - well, it says three but one is me. And if I can figure out how to repair that mistake, it will properly reflect two extremely discerning readers.

Not that I'm no fan of Mr. A. Cat, or of my roomie Lim, the famous feline chef who prepares all my fishy din dins unless and until he's in a snit of miffdom to get his way about something. Then I can starve for all Lim cares! Are all cats despots such as Lim? Most are, I think. Libby Kitty has certainly been on a tear lately: her behavior has turned quite unexpected. As I type she's snoozin' in her newest favorite location: behind the microwave. Odd, if you ask me.

Also updated today is my Political-Mundane Astrology blog Stars Over Washington with a post linking you to a list of campaign donors to our special-interest-promoting congressional candidates compliments of the excellent Mother Jones along with info on the upcoming and difficult transit of Pluto opposing US natal Sun (Sun = the leader in Mundane charts.)

As for Two Hours today, the list of Mythology of Astrology's smaller bodies has been expanded by one: the very interesting and hauntingly musical Orpheus. Simply scroll down the sidebar for the list (it's just after Astrology Faves.)

Plus, the detail/image you see above is from one of my newer drawings, Aubergine, who is actually one of the glamorous pin-up girls in a new Cosmic Lilith Art Calendar 2011 so check our her full portrait if you wish!

Many thanks to readers who have taken time to tick the reaction boxes below my posts...even without leaving Comments, your surreptitious encouragement does not go unnoticed by yours truly! jc

view 'Mandalan Art' with a Psychedelic flavor!

~~

Imperfect Mandala, a drawing by Jude Cowell.

When Mandelbrot-inspired mandalas operate as Art images for sparking such things as meditations, eye-brain stimulations, or for simple visual enjoyment of creative images, then we know the Universe still works in harmony at least some of the time, in spite of all man can do!

Have you ever seen this dynamic collection of what I call 'Mandalan Art'?

Click for a few bright examples available there for your viewing pleasure with only a secure click, for I've this very evening discovered the Art Work @ Spirit Mythos and I recommend it to you!

My hope is to find more Mandalan Art of Psychedelic yet charming vibes and locate the links here for you or in my Secret Moon Art gallery online, if you prefer. Peruse the Art Links in the sidebar next time you drop in.

Thing is, 'Mandalan Art' is only what I'm calling it; I'm not sure if anyone else does. And the digital Artist of the Moment at Spirit Mythos undoubtedly has alternate ideas of how to describe their work, don't you think?

So when you reach the Spirit Mythos gallery, click icons to enlarge images of the colorful mandalas for they're so el perfecto for gazing upon and chillaxing your brain a while...

and tell them old Jude Cowell sent ya because I feel you'll like the interesting Art images of Spirit Mythos!

Mercury out of the Shadow~Cafe Press Shop in the wings

~~~
As you may know, Mercury is still retrograde and possibly interfering with such things as plans, new ideas, travel, commerce, contracts, and agendas.
The planet of thinking, communication, and trade, Trickster and Messenger Mercury will turn Direct on Sept 29, 2009, yet here are some good reasons to wait for implementation of new plans and ideas until Mercury leaves the Shadow degree range of its current retrogradation phase and enters new zodiacal territory, thus leaving behind its retrograde degrees.
When Mercury is Rx, it's a good time to reassess and work on plans and projects, so during Mercury's current Rx period, I have been attempting to set up a Jude Cowell Art shop at Cafe Press, but with disappointing results as far as transforming some of my Dreamyfish Art images of botanical fish drawings into 16" x 20" wall posters for your consideration.
Stewing in my non-techiness, I am finding the Cafe Press interface difficult to work with, and the site's instructions to be missing key points. So if you, dear and lone reader, have any tips on Cafe Press issues, please leave a comment here, or contact me at judecowell at gmail dot com - I'd muchly appreciate it since their forums have not helped me so far - but there's alway hope for a Eureka Moment, one of Mercury's favorite gifts to us which occurs when left and right brain creativity coincide integratively.
So I shall persevere with this art project when my schedule (also a province of Mercury) allows, and will mercurially announce the shop's official opening asap - probably, if my natal chart-ruler Mercury has a say in the matter, and it will - at or just after Mercury's leaving of the Shadow area of the zodiac @ 6Lib13...on or after Oct 14.
My reason for waiting to implement my botanical fish portraits/Cafe Press plans are noted in boldface in the above-linked article, if you are so inclined to check it out, and the chart image for October 14, 2009 @ 2:39 am edt in Washington DC (the first minute Mercury reaches Shadow degree and thus is 'free' to move forward) is included in the post in case you wish to use one of your mercurial senses, sight, to view it!
Two Hours You'll Never Get Back's first post
Spend two hours reading and viewing here if you wish, but you do know they're totally non-refundable, right?
Yes, it would be impossible to spend a full two hours on one inconsequential blog such as this, but when was the last time you heard, 'one minute you'll never get back'?
So you see my dilemma: my choices were quite limited. And when you have only one choice, you have no choice at all.
Just so you know: this blog will be a tapestry of whatever for any reason. Don't expect anything but the best of what one lone blogger can manage, Dear Reader, typos and all. You shall occasionally be addressed as Dear Reader whether such a term of affection applies to you or not.
Comments and queries are welcome if you'll stay on topic for the post you're complai...I mean, commenting on. Comment moderation shall occur; link trades are most welcome so don't stint yourself on that score.
Art, Astrology, Politics, Cultural and Social Issues, Poetry, Ecological concerns, Spiritual and Futuristic subjects including Space, Cosmic, and Astronomy topics will be presented when inspiration lights on my shoulder and doesn't get brushed off by mistake.
Out of the corner of your eye you may notice that Fairy Art appears from time to time but please don't be alarmed: they won't harm you. It's the politicians you should be worried about.
jc 5.5.09 1:11 am edt
New Blog idea occurred: 5.5.09 at 12:03 am edt, Pluto 3Cap24 Rx and rising (uh oh) with Mercury 1Gem34 about to station retrograde (1Gem44)...oh dear. At least Fixed Star Arcturus ('a different approach') was shining at Midheaven.
